Vinification
All blocks were handpicked, beginning 3rd of March, and completed 16th March. The beauty of this wine is the culmination of its parts, each brought to the blend through carefully chosen processes. Portions of the Grenache Blanc and Roussanne are macerated on skins for an extended period, between 90 and 126 days. The remaining varietal batches are whole bunch basket pressed, and only the very lightest pressings are kept separate to be considered for the final blend. These are unfined, unsettled and fermented exclusively in ceramic eggs. No sulphur is added until the extended skin contact portion is removed from skins and the pressed juice has completed fermentation. 59% of the final blend was macerated on skins.
Vintage Notes
The growing season was affected by a very hot spring, leading to the lowest yields on record. As the grapes started their ripening process the weather miraculously cooled to a very mild ripening season. This resulted in wonderful concentration of flavour, retention of natural acidity and brightness of fruit, but above all, beautiful finesse and balanced tannins.
Grape Variety
50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Roussanne, 12% Clairette, 9% Piquepoul, 4% Bourboulenc.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
