Founded in 1946 by the Mateos de la Higuera family, the “Vega Demara” House is located in the “La Mancha” region close to La Solana, with nearly 86 hectares of production under the protected designation of origin. The adventure in which this family has embarked was initially the dream of grandfather Joaquín, head of this emblematic family, who in 1946 decided to buy the first Tempranillo vineyard in the Mara Antona plot. The family started the journey by betting on utilising quality wines obtained from the grapes produced by the vineyards located at the foot of the Alhambra Mountain range, where a micro-Mediterranean climate develops.
