Founded in the 1960s by the Stupino family, Castello di Neive has its roots deep in a centuries-old tradition, while always maintaining an open and future-oriented vision.
The century-long history of Castello di Neive is strictly bound to the village of Neive and its wines, in particular to the production of the Barbaresco DOCG
Neive owes its name to an illustrious, noble Roman family, "Gens Naevia", or "Naevii", established there in ancient times.
When the Roman Empire fell, the Huns swept through the area, to be followed by the Saracens. It was during this period that the first fortified castle was built on the hilltop.
