Campania

Campania is a Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC, or controlled designation of origin) wine region in southern Italy. Located in the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, Campania is rich in history, with records showing that winemaking has been carried out in the region since Roman times. Campania is a region on the rise and one which has garnered much praise from the wine press in recent years. Aglianico headlines the grape varieties within the region, with wines produced from the variety in the Taurasi Denominazione DOCG among some of Italy's most long-lived. White wines also shine within Campania, with the famous DOCs of Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino producing crisp dry whites that provide endless pleasure.
