Black Star wines are made by Inus Van Der Westhuizen. South African born Inus grew up on a wine farm in the Western Cape, He gained a diploma in Cellar Technology at Elsenberg Agricultural College in Stellenbosch, where he then went on to work as assistant winemaker for 5 years.

After working in Pfalz, Germany he then relocated his family to the land of the long white cloud, and once settling in, Inus started honing his skills on the intricate characters of the wines from the greater Marlborough region.

The wines are designed to carry all of the regional qualities while integrating all of the texture and depth that make this an evolving category of wines.
