96/100 Points - Robert Parker Jnr.

The spectacular, dense ruby/purple-colored 2003 Shiraz G. A. M. (named after the Mitolo family's three children) exhibits aromas of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice, new oak, and scorched earth. This complex 2003 comes across as a hypothetical blend of a great La Mission-Haut-Brion from Bordeaux and a Rhone Valley Hermitage such as Chapoutier's Pavillon. Everything is seamlessly integrated into this tour de force in winemaking. It should age for 10-15+ years.
Wine Advocate #155 (Oct 2004) Robert Parker

The third wine in the new McLaren Vale releases, G.A.M is named after the initials of the proprietors children. Opaque black purple colour with paint like cling to the glass. Aroma of violets, cedar, vanilla and blackberry. The palate has more weight combined with its oily texture makes for a blockbuster palate. Concentrated flavours of liquorice, blackberries and super ripe plum. Obscenely voluptuous. Fine grained perfectly balance tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of spice, liquorice, blackberry and plum.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
