2025 Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Assen's Fortalice Chardonnay
Tax included.
Clear, bright; pale, pale white gold. White peach and nectarine; straw and a distant, distant barest whiff of a single shy retiring dried banana chip. There is spice and a hint of something eludingly tropical before the myriad citrus notes slide in: ripe lime juice, lemon butter and lemon curd; mandarin flesh and pith, and ruby grapefruit. At first taste one notices without any uncertainty the beautiful body and weight of this white wine. It fills your mouth, expanding towards the palate’s end, before drying out and leaving a long, mineral-water-like finish. Along the way the keen and fresh, pert line of acidity keeps the house in order. The furniture includes green apple, rockmelon gathered at dawn, more nectarine and peach and around invisible corners linger the meanest and yet purest hints of oak’s spice and savour.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
