"This will sit alongside anything Peterkin has made in more than four decades as one of the finest winemakers in the region. It is a cracking good wine delivered with precision and power with a degree of delicacy and finesse that makes it so appealing. Incredible intensity on the nose with aromas of white peach and grapefruit with a little muted butterscotch in the background. The palate is powerful and drives with urgency through to a remarkably long finish. The oak is neatly interlaced, and the fresh acidity adds another dimension with its savoury chalky character. Cellar 10 years."  Ray Jordan, Ray Jordan Wine - 98 points and White Wine of the Year 2025

"I’ve tried this quite a few times because I can’t get enough of it, as it’s the most detailed and finely tuned chardonnay from Pierro to date. It is beguiling, precise and elegant. All that is backed up by excellent fruit, integrated oak, a laser-light show of acidity with some creamy-nutty lees shimmying across the palate. And the finish – wow! Lingers long. Bravo. Drink by 2033."  Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion - 97 points

"It is hard to imagine a better wine, such is the quality here. This has everything that you could ask for in a chardonnay, and then some. Yet somehow, it manages to present as shy and restrained at the same time. A chameleon wine that has the flexibility to be enjoyed on its own, or with a variety of different foods. Winemaking notes add impact in a very positive way."  Barry Weinman, Fine Wine Club - 97 points

"Pierro Chardonnay be what Pierro Chardonnay be. But there’s a smidgen more finesse in this year’s release and, combined with Pierre’s trademark fruit power, the effect is quite sensational. Pierro is one of the original (as in, it was the first) close-planted blocks in Margaret River, at 6000 vines per hectare.

Power up front; finesse through the finish. This makes well and truly sure that it has your attention and then it shows that it has both depth, and style. Pears, yellow peaches, grilled nuts and a creamy, smoky, nougat character. There’s an element of quartz to this wine, or of something stony, and it’s a part of its glory. This is a noted wine in noteworthy form. It finishes long. It’s compelling throughout."  Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front - 96 points

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
