2021 Armand Heitz Meursault

We shouldn’t think that blending different terroirs is an oenological party. At the estate, when certain cuvées prove to be more interesting blended, we think it is appropriate to do so. Some terroirs are sometimes a little too rich and others a little too refined. This is also working with nature. During my oenology studies, a doctor of oenology maintained that you need a maximum of homogeneity to make a great wine. I told him no. To make a wine close to nature, you need ripe grapes, some less ripe and some too ripe. I got a bad mark in the next test, but today I make terroir wines, while he makes homogeneous and standard wines for the supermarkets.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
