palate
The fruit coats your palate on entry, this has a lovely softness to its mouthfeel as pure, juicy fruits roll along the palate. This is smooth and driven. Through the late palate the tannins change and become more savoury and stony, the tannins take over and leave you with a very clean and driving finish. Overall, this is delicious and is a little bit too easy to drink, no hard edges and a strong core of fruit is the order of the day. I get a lot of pleasure from this wine, and it will develop well as all the components are perfectly placed. This wine will be rewarded with cellaring, as its bountiful energy will abate with age, and I am sure there will be a lot here to enjoy when this wine starts to evolve and mature.
winemakers comments
With a strong commitment to the philosophy of ‘quality without compromise’, Two Hands Wines use a strict classification process to ensure that only the best barrels each vintage are deemed worthy of being bottled as a Two Hands product. Six months after vintage, every barrel in the winery is blind tasted by Proprietor Michael Twelftree and the winemaking team and given a classification grade associated with its place in the Two Hands portfolio: from A+ to D (and anything C or below not used in Two Hands fina production). With this focus on detail, it means only the best barrels make it through and quality is maintained even in the toughest vintages, albeit at lower quantities. Each year, only a handful of barrels come in at the top of the class, scoring an A+; these barrels become wines in our Flagship Series. Serious wines that represent the very fines varietal selections from each vintage.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
