2019 Shafer One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon 750mL

Experience the power and elegance of Shafer Vineyards’ One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon, a benchmark Napa Valley red that showcases the bold character of the Stags Leap District. The 2019 vintage reflects a near-perfect growing season, delivering a Cabernet with exceptional depth, purity, and balance.

Tasting Note
The 2019 Shafer One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep, inky ruby color. The nose bursts with layers of ripe blackberry, cassis, dark plum, and hints of black cherry, complemented by aromas of graphite, toasted vanilla, mocha, and subtle cedar. On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent, yet beautifully structured, with fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity that carry flavors of dark berries, espresso, licorice, and dark chocolate through a long, persistent finish. Polished and powerful, this Cabernet delivers both richness and finesse, with cellaring potential for 15+ years.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is a gem of a wine that readers will love to have in their cellars. Sweet cassis, violets, and graphite define the bulk of the aromas, and it’s a classic Napa Valley Cabernet on the palate with its full-bodied richness, velvety tannins, and opulent yet balanced style. A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot, raised 20 months in new barrels, it’s going to keep for a solid two decades. There are 9,000 cases of this beauty made.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
