Levantine Hill is located in Victoria’s Yarra Valley and is one of Australia’s most premium wine producers. A family-owned estate comprising two vineyards and a state-of-the-art winery, cellar door, and highly awarded restaurant, its wines are handcrafted without compromise by renowned Australian winemaker Paul Bridgeman. With a stated ethos of producing cool climate, and delicate and refined wines of uncompromising quality, Levantine Hill has established a world-class reputation, winning many major international awards and the acclaim of leading wine experts.

Our Katherine’s Paddock Chardonnay blend (from our three distinct clonal plantings) combines the richness, drive, and classicism of our north-east facing P58 clone with the fruit intensity of the east-facing central block of Mendoza & the fine-boned flinty structure and chalky notes of the south-east facing block of Bernard 95 clone. This vineyard reliably & consistently produces a profound stylistic reclamation of Chardonnay where body, flavour, and palate weight can co-exist with structure, texture, and restrained acidity.

---

Geographically a mirror image of Samantha’s Paddock, this block is located in the perfect spot to capture both the cool breeze blowing from the Great Dividing Range and the morning sun afforded by its east-facing orientation. Due to its elevation, angle and aspect, it is historically harvested much later than traditional Valley-floor Chardonnay. It is our ode to the Grand Cru Montrachet of Burgundy. Pronounced characters of pear skin, marzipan, cashew and wild rice combine with a rich textural interplay of chalk and creaminess. This wine amplifies all of the subtle elements intrinsic to the make-up of our Estate Chardonnay and presents them in an “all dials set to eleven” riot of balanced natural acidity, rich varietal expression and voluminous persistent flavours.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
