“Parham is named in honour of my Grandfather Bill Parham, who passed away at the ripe old age of 102. This wine is the best of the best of our McLaren Vale & Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and only 10 barrels of the vintage are set aside for Parham." - GM

Aroma

The aroma displays a lifted fresh herbaceous note that follows on to deep mint, olive, dark chocolate and meaty savoury characters.

Palate

The palate is larger than life; intense, deep and concentrated. Although the tannins are strong and grippy, the acidity distinct and the flavours youthful and potent, the wine is balanced and seamless. This wine was made in this style and released young to show the brash intensity of youth.

Food Pairing

If you have a week to live, drink it now. Any time you can give this wine will be repaid in ever increasing "aahhh" and "OMG" moments.

Vintage Information

The 2016 vintage featured a warm, dry spring that triggered early vine growth. Despite occasional heat spikes and dryness in December, rainfall in late January and early February boosted yields and fruit quality. Many regions saw average to above- average yields and outstanding fruit, with some considering it among the best recent vintages.

Wine Making

Matured in new American oak hogsheads for 27 months.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
