The vintage was characterized by fairly high temperatures and healthy grapes that were perfectly intact at harvest time. The ripening phase required two emergency irrigations in the upper hillside vineyards and also benefitted from the timely rainfall of 20th August, which helped maintain the physiological balance of the vines, resulting in the complete aromatic and phenolic ripening of the grapes. The absence of rain, except on two days, during the harvest period meant that the work was carried out easily and almost without interruption. The forecast is that vintage 2015 wines will be complex and long-lived, characterized by slightly above average alcohol content and a good balance between
acidity and extract.
Exposure to the south-east guarantees perfect ripening of the bunches and captures great aromatic expression. The lengthy ageing process in the cellar confers depth and layers to the aromas, with the dark fruit initially forward and then yielding more and more space to spicy notes, coffee and medicinal herbs. The impact on the palate is decisive and powerful, with the mouthfeel gaining grip and finesse thanks to the supple acidic impetus.
Ageing potential more than 20 years.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
