This wine features a deep garnet color. The nose reveals rich aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and spice, with subtle hints of chocolate and oak. The palate is well-structured with fine tannins and a long, complex finish.

Accolades:
94 points - Wine Enthusiast
Silver Medal - Decanter World Wine Award

TASTING NOTES:
Tahbilk Shiraz is sourced from nearly 30 hectares of vines planted at various times from the 1930s until the early 2000s. The resultant Shiraz releases are notes as being fruit-driven wines for much flavour and substance, proven over the years to develop added character
when cellared.
This wine has been made using traditional Tahbilk techniques. Fermentation takes place in 150 year old open vats, before maturation in French oak for 18 months prior to bottling.
“Aromas of earth, spice and blackcurrants are evident on a rustic, savoury palate of dark berry and plum fruits with hints of black pepper. Lively tannins support a finish of persistence.”

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
