2021 Château Duhart-Milon, 4ème G.C.C, 1855

Duhart-Milon appears cheerful yet direct in 2021, having taken advantage of the best of both worlds. With a less sunny vintage, it was particularly interesting to see the differences in the terroirs emerged between the areas with more clay, where a large part of our Merlots are planted, and our dry gravel terroirs which like the Atlantic climate and stress-free years. This year, the Cabernets did well and (almost) all went into the blend, even our young 5-year-old vines that had benefited from the major restructuring work carried out by the team. In the end, there is a historically low percentage of Merlot and the pleasure of rediscovering the identity of Duhart which we had (almost) started to miss: its historically direct character softened by the beautiful ripeness it has shown in recent years. The best of both worlds, which can even be found in Moulin de Duhart, which is getting better every year.

What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
