2024 Heirloom Vineyards McLaren Vale Touriga
Tax included.
Darkishly alluring; there’s blackness to the core and yet a garnet ring. Best observed by candle light. No false modesty here: this is the most beautiful - the most beautiful - combination of touriga’s pretty bright floral fruit perfume and its more suave, serious, stentorious and yet gentlemanly dark broodiness. Liquorice and blackberry and tar and roses and violets and iron. Textural yet silky: the brightly-coloured and flavoured berry fruits remain in an impossibly fresh posture and show. Vibrancy to taste. Yet is this the red grape variety that makes vintage port? Yes, hence the colour and the plushness and the tannin. Sorry: TANNIN. This is dry and long and mouthpuckering and at one sip turns you into an Iberian ready to discover the unknown world. Yet there is balance and strategy in this mouthful of wine, and it navigates its way across your palate in an effortless way. You do know you are drinking red wine, but it is also beguiling….

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
