Heggies Vineyard

The Heggies story began in 1972 when Colin Heggie sold the prime cool-climate plot of land to his good mate Wyndham Hill-Smith, who had a bold vision to grow and make exceptional Chardonnay. In 1973, the first vines were planted and over 50 years later, you’d wonder why the land was used for anything else. We also planted Riesling. And thus began our infatuation with the crisp white wines grown at Heggies Vineyard.
