Andrew Caillard MW (99 Points): > "Deep crimson. Intense fragrant mulberry, blackcurrant pastille leafy aromas with meaty/mocha oak notes... Plush and velvety in texture, with superb energy, tension, density and mineral length. A perfectly balanced cabernet sauvignon.
"Huon Hooke, The Real Review (98 Points):"Incredible density and concentration. The complexity of the wine almost defies description... The palate is very savoury, dry and endowed with loads of soft, powdery tannins... it's a wine which will live for decades and keep revealing more and more.
"Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate (95+ Points):"Simply a chocolate box of layered delights, revealing crème de cassis and black cherry notes plus underlying roasted nuts, espresso, licorice, pepper, menthol hints and a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied and built like a brick house..."
-
Colour: Deep, brooding red.
-
Nose: Exotic and aromatically more perfumed than normal. It opens with notes of old-garden fresh dark red rose, lavender, and ylang-ylang. Upon sitting and breathing, it transitions into its recognizable, classic Bin 707 varietal demeanor. Despite spending 20 months in 100% new American oak, the wood is beautifully absorbed and integrated.
-
Palate: Uniform, balanced, and highly expressive. "Pure" fruit flavors like blueberry are complemented by "derived" complex notes of rum 'n' raisin chocolate, freshly-baked panettone, and trifle.
-
Structure: The tannins are focused and fine-grained, never angular or blocky, supported by collaborative and courteous oak.

Peak Drinking Window: 2018–2040

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
