Expertly crafted from the famous Mount Edelstone vineyard, this 2021 Henschke Edelstone Shiraz boasts organic and biodynamic farming methods. A beautifully balanced wine with black fruit, wild herbs, and spicy wood notes, it ages exceptionally well. A must-have for any wine connoisseur.
"Deep crimson with ruby hues. Intensely fragrant aromas of blackberry, blueberry and Satsuma plum with signature spice notes of black, white and green peppercorn, wild sage, fresh bay leaf and bundled thyme. The palate is complex, plush and spicy, with black and blue fruits, rich dark licorice and fresh cut herbs, framed by elegant acidity and fine, velvety tannins for an exceptionally long, detailed finish."

"Velvety and graceful in its flow on the palate with a fresh mineral cadence and superfine, powdered granitic tannins for support. It'll go down as one of the greats."

"A superb shiraz, more peppery with airing: a stellar vintage for this wine."

"This has all the concentration and intensity that we know and love of Mount Edelstone; it speaks clearly to Eden Valley as a place, with notes of sage, bay, crushed rocks and a cool minerality that drives it through the long finish. This is a superb wine."

"The ’21 holds a little more in reserve than in previous vintages, it’s tighter, no less friendly but boasts significant depth yet to be revealed."

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
