Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Aroma of plum, spice and raspberry. On the palate, liquorice and spice flavours emerge followed by a touch of dark chocolate on the back palate. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, raspberry and dark chocolate.
Spectacular value from highly renowned winemaker Ben Glaetzer, the 2004 Shiraz/Grenache Wallace (70% Shiraz from 65-year-old vines and 30% Grenache from 90-year-old bush vines) was aged 12 months in neutral 300 litre barrels, primarily American. An expressive nose of ground pepper, sweet cherries, raspberries, currants, and loamy soil scents is followed by a wine of great intensity, power, elegance, and definition. This beautifully made, full-bodied, sexy, complex Australian red.

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
