Sarsaparilla, plums just ripe, cola nuts; there are blackberries, quite heightened and aromatic. Raspberries and green herbs - think of thyme and tarragon. The waft of a bay leaf and the bare waft of an oak barrel, but an oak barrel somewhere over the rainbow... This is round and chewy - a giving red wine. And yet it also shows an understanding acidity affording restraint. Deeper darker plum fruit flavours from shiraz are immediately elevated, and freshened by the tiny 6% of riesling in the blend. The riesling really does take the wine to a more ethereal level, without entirely emasculating shiraz’s brutish charm.

Vintage: 2024

Varietal: Other Red Blends

Brand: Dandelion Vineyards

Region: McLaren Vale

Country: Australia

Pack Size: 750mL

Closure: Screw Cap

Alcohol: 14.5%

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0591/7674/7071/files/dandelion-vineyards-lions-tooth-of-mclaren-vale-shiraz-riesling-2019-med_974910b5-6013-49cb-ade8-c20b66170c9b.png?v=1791777820
https://www.cellarlinkauctions.com/products/2024-dandelion-vineyards-lions-tooth-of-mclaren-vale-shiraz-riesling
